14 students from Larkmead Vocal Group participated in a massed performance event within the National Festival of Music for Youth, to celebrate Tune In–Year of Music and the World Cup. Inspired by the Beautiful Game, SCORE! was been devised by composer Tim Steiner, based on a poem by Ian McMillan, to bring together thousands of young singers on Monday 5th July 2010. Our students participated in the premiere performance of SCORE!, alongside 4,700 others, at Birmingham City Football Stadium. It was a great experience to perform as part of a massed choir, although the highlight for several students was meeting CBBC presenter Barney Harwood!
